Hardox Wearparts centers make customized wear parts of Hardox® wear plate and Toolox® engineering & tool steel. These quenched and tempered steel grades are both wear resistant and tough. For sliding wear applications with low and moderate impact, Duroxite® overlay products can be more suitable.
One example involving Duroxite® is the upgrading of elbows handling furnace dust. Changing from mild steel to tubes of Duroxite® 100 increased the service life almost 30 times.
