The subsoiler is a tillage tool that rips up soil or hard earth like podzol or hardpan without turning it over. Subsoilers help to improve crop growth where soil compaction is a problem.
A subsoiler mounted on a compact utility tractor can often reach depths of roughly 30 cm (12 in.). It typically consists of only one thin subsoiler blade with a sharpened tip. Thanks to its unique hardness and toughness, Hardox® can extend a subsoiler’s service life compared with its original materials.
