Description of the case

o MetalMex (Hardox Wearparts center) located in Mexico, has a customer who is currently using 1.5’’-thick casting manganese with Tungsten carbide as a conveyor liner in a foundry; the service life is 3 months. A 1/4'' on 1/2'' Duroxite 300 plate was welded on a 1-1/4'' HX600 trialed plate to make a 2'' thick sandwich plate. The trialed Duroxite 300 with HX600 plate was installed in June 2017. The wear data was collected in September 2017, the wear is about 0.254 mm after three months. It is estimated that the service life is about at least 24 months. The service life data will be collected and updated soon.
